Schedule for the next set of classes:

Puppy Kindergarten

  • Starts Wed, February 26, 2020 at 7:00pm
  • $125 for 4 weekly, 50-minute sessions
  • Puppies must be 8-16 weeks old for this off-leash class

Most group puppy classes simply teach you and your pup obedience. That’s fine, but during this critical and short period in your dog’s life, it’s vital he learn the right behaviors to be an enjoyable family member and for you to have peace of mind.

Your dog needs to learn:

-Socialization (liking and respecting people)
-Not to have separation anxiety
-Crate training
-Chewtoy training
-Off-leash obedience
-To be calm/quiet on cue
-The right way to phase out puppy biting
-To be calm in the car
-Appropriate digging

The clock is ticking! Your dog must learn these things during the first 4 months of his life for you to see the best possible results. Once that window has passed, it’s a lot more difficult to help your dog. Prevention is much more effective than dealing with issues after they’ve already become a problem.

Adolescent Manners

  • Starts Tues, February 25, 2020 at 7:00pm
  • $150 for 4 weekly, 50-minute sessions
  • Dogs must be 5-18 months old, as well as friendly and non-reactive with other dogs and people

After puppyhood, most group classes you encounter don’t specialize in dealing with the unique needs of the adolescent dog. With Sura Dog Training’s Adolescent Manners class, we help your teenager learn impulse control and basic manners around people and other dogs.

Don’t make the common mistake of ignoring your dog’s adolescent problems (like ignoring your recall commands, getting over-excited around other dogs, and pulling on leash). Now is the time to jump on your adolescent’s training to reinforce what is expected of him. If you have a reliable adolescent, you’ll have a reliable adult dog!
